TOWARD LIVING LANDSCAPES

We live and act in a particular momentum, acknowledging a multiple eco- sociological crisis. Our projects take place in the European context and beyond. We are dealing with heritage sites, derelict voids, vast post-industrial sites, coastlines calling for regeneration. We seek to develop tactics that strengthen those fragile landscapes co co-constructing  living landscapes.


SKILLS

From Rotterdam to Barcelona, from Paris, Brussels to Zurich, the structure of the practice has, since 2006, been envisaged as an evolving entity, adaptive and responsive to those heterogeneous and complex challenges. How? The practice acts as a conductor, curator, and mediator of complex transformation processes.
To do so  tacit knowledge of gardening, bricolage and painting, are used.

VERS DES PAYSAGES VIVANTS

Nous vivons et agissons dans un élan particulier, constatant une crise éco-sociologique multiple.. Nos projets se développent dans le contexte européen et au-delà. Il s'agit de sites patrimoniaux, de vides abandonnés, de vastes sites post-industriels et de littoraux à régénérer. Nous cherchons à y développer des tactiques qui renforcent ces paysages fragiles afin de co-construire des paysages vivants.

COMPÉTENCES 

De Rotterdam à Barcelone, de Paris à Bruxelles et maintenant Zurich, la structure du cabinet est, depuis 2006, envisagée comme une entité évolutive, adaptative et réactive. La pratique agit en tant que chef d'orchestre, curateur et médiateur de processus de transformation complexes.

Co-founder Sébastien PENFORNIS
is an architect and urban designer in charge of taktyk Paris office. He also teaches at the ENSAB, Rennes. His practice based research explored the notion of play and serendipity through the landscape design processes and transformations.

Sébastien PENFORNIS est architecte et urbaniste en charge du bureau taktyk Paris. Il enseigne également à l'ENSAB de Rennes. Ses recherches basées sur la pratique ont exploré la notion de jeu et de sérendipité à travers les processus et les transformations de la conception du paysage.

Co-founder Thierry KANDJEE

is a landscape architect, director of taktyk Brussels. His practice based research investigated how to design landscape skeletons as a model of/for robust landscapes.

Thierry KANDJEE est architecte paysagiste, fondateur de taktyk Brussels. Ses recherches portent sur la conception de squelettes de paysages robustes, à partir de processus ouverts.

Partner Simon AUPERPIN
is an architect, painter and designer. His work focuses on the adaptation and reappropriation of territories as a carrier of cultural, social and ecological transitions.

Simon AUPERPIN est architecte, peintre et dessinateur. Son travail porte sur l'adaptation et les réappropriations des territoires comme porteur de transitions culturelles, sociales et écologiques.
